Driven by Purpose
Our History
Living 2 Love began in 2006 with a simple act of compassion. A young couple from South Korea started preparing food bags, socks, and personal care items in their small apartment in NYC, distributing them to people experiencing homelessness on the city’s streets. What started with just 16 individuals on the first night quickly grew to serving over 200 people each evening within a year.
In 2007, they opened their apartment as a makeshift shelter — a space where those in need could find warmth, food, and kindness. There, they witnessed firsthand the transformative power of opportunity. They saw that the journey out of homelessness often begins with just one helping hand, one chance, one moment of love.
As their outreach expanded, Living 2 Love was formally incorporated in July 2010 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. While the organization is a public charity, its board members continue to personally contribute a significant portion of the operational, administrative, and program-related expenses — a testament to their unwavering commitment to serving others.
Today, Living 2 Love continues its mission of compassion and empowerment. Beyond running its own programs, the organization proudly partners with other nonprofits and local churches, offering sponsorship and support to help them strengthen their capacity and expand their impact. Together, we are building a stronger, more connected, and thriving community of service — one grounded in love, dignity, and hope.

Mission Statement
Guided by God’s Word, we are called to loose the chains of injustice, lift the heavy yokes of oppression, and set the captives free. We share food with the hungry, provide shelter for the wanderer, and clothe those in need — living out Christ’s love through humble service and compassion for all.

Behind the scenes, our team includes Certified Financial Planners, Registered Investment Advisors, private equity professionals, and small business owners who give their time, expertise, and hearts to this work. They choose to serve quietly, without recognition — simply because they believe in love in action.
